Ron Paul has released a Christmas television ad starring his son, Senator Rand Paul.
In this 30-second commercial, the Kentucky senator ties his family to the founding principles of the tea party movement, which propelled him into the Senate back in 2010. He says his father's lifelong commitment to the tea party's fundamental message of limited government "will restore what made America great."
The ad is set to run in Iowa and New Hampshire on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
