Prince Charles, BBC weatherman

Updated

Prince Charles filled in as a weatherman today on BBC Scotland during a tour of the studios. The Prince of Wales informed viewers at home it would be “cold, wet and windy” across the country.

Comfortable in front of the camera after years of practice, he delivered his lines off the teleprompter with the stiff-upper lip that we would expect from the future King of England. When it came time to deliver the forecast near the royal family’s estate at Balmoral, he was more off the cuff.

The prince asked with a smile, “Who the hell wrote this script?” And to sum up his segment, he said it’s a “cold day everywhere, with temperatures of just 8 Celsius and a brisk northeasterly wind. Thank god it isn’t a bank holiday.”

The Last Word had its own fill-in anchorman recently with some actor guy named Alec Baldwin.
