Almost one year ago, royal wedding watchers around the world were captivated by pictures of the sister of the bride, Pippa Middleton. Today, a paparazzi photo taken in Paris over the weekend could land the socialite in jail.

The Sun reports that the 27-year-old, sister of Duchess Kate and sister-in-law to Prince William, was riding shotgun in an Audi convertible with three male friends when the driver pointed what looked like a handgun at photographers trying to take Pippa's picture.

Tabloids are reporting that a witness charged a formal complaint with Paris police. If authorities determine there is enough evidence to prosecute, Middleton may be summoned. According to The Sun, she may even face arrest. The man waving the gun faces up to seven years in prison if the weapon turns out to be real. Even if it’s fake, he could spend two years in jail.

However, the Paris police headquarters confirmed to NBC News that they have no knowledge of a gun incident involving Pippa and that no witness or photographer has come forward to file a complaint. Therefore, there is no investigation at this time.
