Sarah Palin seemed to learn a thing or two from her fake pizza summit with Donald Trump: how to revitalize a fake presidential campaign. In a rare break from Facebook-only postings, Palin granted an interview with Newsweek.

“I’m not so egotistical as to believe that it has to be me, or it can only be me, to turn things around,” she said in the article, keeping the 2012 buzz alive. “But I do believe that I can win.”

She has yet to take any real action on campaign front, unless you count stealing Romney’s thunder in New Hampshire via her publicity bus tour.

To Palin, the Republican nomination is still up for grabs, “Thank goodness the field is not yet set. I think that there does need to be more vigorous debate. There needs to be a larger field. And there’s still time. There’s still months ahead, where more folks can jump in and start articulating their positions.”

The former half-term governor certainly made a strong candidate for tonight’s Rewrite. Tune in 8pm ET for more.
