During President Obama’s trip in Europe, Michelle Obama is proving yet again she’s not only the first lady of the United States but also the first lady of fashion.
Today, she was looking sleek and divine in black and with an out-of-control necklace. Earlier, she joined British Prime Minister David Cameron’s wife Samantha serving UK and US military families at a barbeque. She wore an edgy black and white patterned dress from Tracy Reese’s pre-fall 2011 collection that represents her adventurous and progressive taste.
The white gown and opera gloves she wore to last night’s dinner at Buckingham Palace is truly newsworthy. Mrs. O blog reports that it was designed by Tom Ford, an “ingenious choice” as Ford is an American designer with headquarters in London. NBC News’ Luke Russert tweeted that the dress has to go to the Smithsonian’s American History Museum, “stunning.”
