A memoir by Hillary Clinton that details her time as secretary of state will be released June 10, according to a statement made by her publisher, Simon & Schuster.

The book’s website, www.hillaryclintonmemoir.com, which launched along with the release of the publisher’s statement, says the memoir will focus on Clinton’s tenure as President Obama’s chief foreign affairs adviser and her experiences with diplomats and political leaders, both domestic and foreign.

“Hillary Clinton shares candid reflections about key moments during her time as secretary of state as well as her thoughts about how to navigate the challenges of the 21st century,” the book’s website reads.

Will criticizing the Clintons backfire?

In recent weeks, we’ve gotten a strong hit of what’s to come if Hillary Clinton jumps into the 2016 race. But will those criticisms ultimately backfire? Chris Matthews and Frank Rich discuss.
Clinton’s memoir has been eagerly anticipated as speculation builds over her potential 2016 presidential run. Clinton has been asked about the 2016 race during her recent public appearances and speaking engagements, but the Democratic frontrunner has largely stuck to discussing policy issues and promoting her book.

Clinton dropped her biggest hint yet about a potential second run for the White House at a marketing summit in San Francisco Tuesday, saying, “I am obviously thinking about it.”

She elaborated further, saying, “The hard questions aren’t ‘Do you want to be president?’ or ‘Can you win? The hard questions are ‘Why? Why would you want to do this? And what would you offer that could make a difference?’”

At a March appearance with the Association of American Publishers, Clinton jokingly referred to her memoir as “just another light, summer read.” She also reflected on the writing process. “If you did see my study at home, you would think it was an episode from ‘The Hoarders.’ The notes, the pages, the drafts – it is amazing,” she told the crowd in New York City. “I now have barrels and barrels of old drafts in case anybody wants to see them again.”

According to the book’s website, the memoir has not been given a title yet and is being billed as “A New Memoir by Hillary Rodham Clinton.”

Clinton has mentioned in several appearances that the book will discuss a wide range of topics, from Crimea to climate change. She also said she was mulling over several titles including “The Scrunchie Chronicles: 112 Countries and It’s Still All About My Hair,” a submission from a reader contest in The Washington Post last year.

Her 2003 memoir that detailed her time as first lady and New York state senator sold over 1 million copies, making Clinton a best-selling author.
