Foo Fighters punk Westboro protesters

The Westboro Baptist Church protests against homosexuality at government buildings, fairs, even funerals. But protesting a Foo Fighters concert cries out for attention — which is exactly what the band gave them.

According to the Foo Fighters, the Westboro Baptist Church called for a boycott of their Kansas City show due to their homoerotic song “Keep It Clean (Hot Buns).” Instead of ignoring the picketers and their signs which say things like “God hates fags,” the band donned their costumes from the “Keep It Clean” video and gave an impromptu performance.

Lead singer Dave Grohl told the crowd, “I don’t care if you’re black or white or purple or green, whether you’re Pennsylvanian or Transylvanian, Lady Gaga or Lady Antebellum. It takes all kinds.”

They may have reached at least one protester. A lady holding multiple signs, one saying “Christians caused fag marriage” remarked that she “loved that song.”

Take in the amazing show for yourself.
