As a bipartisan group of senators continue to hammer out an immigration reform deal, one Republican lawmaker is apologizing for comments he made about undocumented workers. Rep. Don Young of Alaska referred to them as “wetbacks.” Republican leaders immediately denounced the comments on Friday. “Congressman Young’s remarks were offensive and beneath the dignity of the office he holds,” said House Speaker John Boehner in a statement. “I don’t care why he said it – there’s no excuse and it warrants an immediate apology.” RNC Chairman Reince Priebus also slammed Young's comments,  saying they "do not represent the beliefs of the Republican Party."
