President Obama is set to deliver to immigration speech this afternoon in Las Vegas, where he won 71% of the Latino vote in 2012. The president is expected to push comprehensive immigration reform, giving his stamp of approval on the bipartisan Senate plan that offers a consistent outline on immigration. Senator John McCain, one of the members of the “Gang of 8,” said on msnbc’s Morning Joe that if the Republican party does not back their bipartisan immigration reform plan, the party will be well on a “descent toward irrelevancy.”

  • Obama will embrace immigration deal
  • Marco Rubio: No time for guns this Congress
  • 66% of Americans support allowing women in combat
  • Senate approved Obama’s nomination of John Kerry as Secretary of State
  • Two super PACS back Hillary Clinton for 2016
  • Ray LaHood, only Republican in Cabinet, stepping down as transportation secretary
  • Palin left Fox News to “broaden her message”
