First LGBT Kiss at Navy homecoming

It is tradition at Navy homecomings for one lucky sailor to be the first to walk off the ship and kiss their significant other. Today was first time in history that couple was homosexual. With the historic repeal of the military’s Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy, a lesbian couple who was worlds apart were able to their express long-lost affection in front of their family and friends. This embrace would not have been possible a year ago. This is what change looks like.
