Chuck Norris robocalls for Newt Gingrich

Updated

Chuck Norris lent the strength of his voice to Newt Gingrich’s presidential campaign. (He “uses a megaphone to make his voice quieter.”) The actor made robocalls to voters in Alabama and Mississippi ahead of the states’ primary elections on Tuesday. Newt Gingrich’s team uploaded the recording to its YouTube channel today.

“As my wife Jean and I watched the GOP debate and went to their website, we were trying to decide which of the candidates would be best to do head-to-head combat with President Obama,” the Walker, Texas Ranger said in the audio clip.”Now, I didn’t say hand-to-hand combat, even though I think they would win there, too. Jean and I decided that Newt Gingrich would be the best man to beat President Obama.”

Gingrich has been hitting those states hard. A new poll puts the candidate in neck-and-neck position with Mitt Romney in both of those states.

Remember, “Chuck Norris doesn’t call the wrong number. You answer the wrong phone.”
