It’s another day, and another chance for Willard M. Romney to be awkward. With the straw poll and the state fair of Iowa well behind him, today the assumed Republican frontrunner was in New Hampshire. The Boston Globe reports that during a stop at an elevator company, Romney talked with workers a bit.

And then things got… well, awkward.

As Romney began to leave the company after his hourlong visit, he looked at… Ellen Boss, the girlfriend of the company’s general counsel, Cory Hussey.

“Nice,” Romney said as she blushed. “Nice choice. Just like me.”

Wait… what? The Globe’s report indicates Romney was making a comparison to his wife. Others have speculated he was calling himself a “nice choice.” Whatever the case… that’s awkward. But this isn’t the first time we’ve seen an awkward Willard M. Romney.

In other Romney news, the Democratic Party has latched on to the now-infamous comment Romney made that “corporations are people.” The party is making these t-shirts available with any donation of $30 or more.
