The rich are continuing their revolt against paying higher taxes. On yesterday's show we showed a clip of Bill O'Reilly saying that if his taxes are raised he might stop doing his show. We put up a petition to raise Bill's taxes on the blog and so far over 900 people have signed! But now more and more highly paid radio, TV hosts and politicians are whining that their taxes might be raised. Sean Hannity told his viewers last night that he pays 55% of his income in taxes. Tonight we will have the latest on the complaining from the right about the President's deficit reduction plan.

This year Texas Governor Rick Perry has cut everything from education to Medicare in his state, but when it comes to his vacations he has no reservations about spending taxpayer money for his personal trips. The Houston chronicle is reporting that Perry has used at least $294,000 of Texas taxpayers' money for book promotion, personal trips and campaigning. Apparently the Governor has no plans to reimburse his state.

Michele Bachmann made a campaign stop at a traffic-signal plant yesterday in Sheffield Iowa and said that President Obama's policies are "continuing to dig us deeper into the hole toward another recession." She said her plans for a smaller government and lower spending would help the traffic-signal company grow. The only problem for Bachmann is that companies like the one she's visiting can receive up to 80% of their revenue from the government, specifically the kind of road and bridge spending that the administration is currently pushing.
