President Obama is in Speaker Boehner’s home state of Ohio today pushing his new $447 billion jobs act. Specifically he’s focusing on education, the President is going to tour a school undergoing renovations and promote a $25 billion spending initiative for school renovations and improvements. Republicans are already opposing President Obama’s plan because of tax increases. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said the “American Jobs Act” is simply old ideas put under a new title and that “The president knows raising taxes is the last thing you want to do to spur job creation,” Today President Obama’s top political advisor David Axelrod said that the administration is unwilling to break up the President’s plan.

At last night’s debate members of the GOP audience shouted encouraging the death of a hypothetical uninsured man. Back in 2009 Congressman Alan Grayson made a then famous and controversial floor speech saying, “The Republicans want you to die quickly if you get sick.” It seems as though members of last night’s crowd agreed with Grayson.  Tonight former Congressman Alan Grayson is joining us to give us his take on the audience’s reaction.

Michele Bachmann is going after Rick Perry for mandating that sixth grade girls in Texas receive HPV vaccines. On NBC’s “Today” Bachmann said that the HPV vaccine might cause “mental retardation,” a notion that has been mostly dismissed by scientists.

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is joining us tonight to talk about the Senate holding up disaster relief for states that are in serious need of help after the recent slew of storms that battered the country.  He’s also going to talk about an exchange he had with Senator Rand Paul today on whether or not poverty in America is a death sentence.

RNC chair Reince Priebus told a group of Republicans in Minnesota that President Obama “is not one of them,”
