Republican Presidential candidates are gearing up for another nationally televised debate tonight.  Rick Perry is sure to be criticized tonight by other candidates for his comments on social security calling it a "failure" and a "ponzi scheme".  Mitt Romney said during last week's debate that the Republican Party should nominate someone “who isn’t committed to abolishing Social Security, but who is committed to saving Social Security.”

President Obama is officially sending his $447 billion jobs plan to congress today. In a speech from the White House Rose Garden earlier this morning the President said it's time to come together and put politics aside. "We can't afford these same political games... Let's get something done. Let's put this country back to work."

Speaking to reporters after touring a Boeing plant in South Carolina today, Mitt Romney pledged to pursue legislation that would prohibit unions form contributing dues to political campaigns. “I will pursue and hopefully enact legislation which inhibits taking money in the form of dues and putting it behind political campaigns. That should not happen.”
