Florida Senator Marco Rubio is using Ed's recent criticism of him as a fundraising pitch. Last week Rubio was lucky enough to be chosen for "Psychotalk" for saying that entitlement programs "actually weakened us as a people". Yesterday Rubio's political action committee - Reclaiming America issued a fundraising pitch centered on Ed's remarks:

"Ed Schultz attacked Marco's speech as 'psycho talk' and called Marco a 'political hack’. These are the typical attacks that are routinely launched against those who are standing up for our conservative principles.  These extreme liberals have no interest in finding common sense solutions to the challenges facing our country. They just want to attack and tear down anyone who doesn't share their extreme ideology. Which is why we need your help us fight back. Your contribution of $100, $50, or even $25 will help us defend conservatives like Marco all across the country."

Republicans have rejected President Obama’s request for a joint session of congress next Wednesday. The official historian for the House of Representatives told reporters Wednesday that it's the first time ever such a request has been rejected. The joint session is now scheduled for Thursday September 8th.

Just eight months after Rep. Gabrielle Giffords survived a horrific attack in Pima County Arizona - The Pima County Republican Party is auctioning off a Glock 23, according to the Huffington Post. The Glock 23 is a similar version of the Glock 19 that was used in the January 8th shooting that left six people dead and wounded 13 others.
