Herman Cain says he is the victim of a "witch hunt."  Politico reported that Cain was accused of sexual harassment twice during his time as head of the National Restaurant Association back in the 1990s.  Cain firmly denies any wrong-doing.

But not all news is bad news for Herman Cain.  The former Godfather's Pizza CEO now has a slight lead over Gov. Rick Perry among Republican primary voters in Texas.

Whirlpool announced its intention to shed 5,000 manufacturing jobs in the U.S.  A large part of that effort will take place in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, where the company plans on closing a plant that once employed over 4,000 workers. 

The House and Senate are set to take up jobs bills this week.  Some of which are based on parts of President Obama's American Jobs Act.

The City of Oakland is gearing up for a possible general strike on Wednesday, orchestrated by the Occupy Oakland movement.
