Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has raised 4.5 million dollars in just under 5 weeks and 60 percent of the money is coming from outside the state.

During a typical election Wisconsin governors can only except donations under $10,000 but in a recall anything goes. The largest contribution Walker accepted totaled 500,000 dollars from a single donor in Texas.

In an age with Citizen’s United and unlimited Super PAC money, is all of this cash flowing into politics really a good idea?

Two former aides to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker were charged today with allegedly doing political fundraising while working on taxpayer time in the Milwaukee County Executive’s office when he ran it.

Ed will dive into that part of the story on tonight’s 8pET show!
