New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says voting will be "old school" for many of the communities hit hardest by Hurricane Sandy.

Christie says voters will "walk up, get a paper ballot, fill it out and hand it back in."

Secretary of State and Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno says she's not sure how many of the state's 3,000 polling places will have power by Tuesday.

Roughly 1.2 million homes and businesses across New Jersey remain without electricity.

But the Christie administration is telling residents to go ahead and vote. The state extended the deadline on mail-in ballots. Department of Defense trucks are slated to park at polling sites that don't have power by Tuesday.

We can expect millions of New Jersey voters will be casting paper ballots Tuesday, and that means a slower vote count. Most polls favor President Obama.

Either way, you can thank Sandy when the election results come in later than usual from the Garden State on Tuesday night.
