RINO - Resignation In Notables Only

Updated

Hosni Mubarak is still in power despite rumors of his resignation earlier today, including a premature tweet by Katie Couric.  That’s not to say Egyptian leadership hasn’t been through major changes today.  The National Democratic Party announced their key players will step down - including Gamal Mubarak, the president’s son.  The NDP gesture aims to appease protesters and prove the regime could potentially change their ways.  But for anti-Mubarak demonstrators, that won’t do the trick.  Although a resignation is likely in the works, the revolt isn’t letting up and won’t until he is gone.

Watch the Reuters report:

If Mubarak does in fact leave power, there are at least 7 in talks of potential succession.
