Rick Perry anti-gay ad inspires parodies

Rick Perry’s TV ad aimed at social conservatives in Iowa has been met with widespread anger and derision since it was released Wednesday.  The video, titled Strong, connects ‘gays in the military’ to Obama’s ‘war on religion.’

The ad was obviously ripe for parody.  In just a few short days, more video parodies flooded the Internet.  One of the best is by Andy Harris and Rhoda Baldwin of TheComedyCouple.com:

We did own video montage on Wednesday, mixing the ad and other comments about gay rights with Perry’s bizarre speech of Oct. 28, 2011, in New Hampshire (with Dr. Michael Eric Dyson subbing for Ed):

And if the parodies aren’t bad enough, the real ad got so many “dislikes” on YouTube, the campaign decided to disable the “dislike” button.
