Pat Robertson has done it again: insert foot into mouth.

On today's The 700 Club show on CBN, a bewildered Robertson asked host Kristi Watts,, following her interview with former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, “What is this ‘mac and cheese,’ is that a black thing?”

Watts and Rice, both of whom happen to be African-American, had agreed during the interview that macaroni and cheese is their favorite Thanksgiving dish.

RightWingWatch.org pulled the clip, which is going viral across the web.  We can't wait to see Ed's face when he sees this video on tonight's show at 8p/11pET.  Meantime, let us know what you think!

Robertson, of course, is no stranger to controversy.  Wikipedia.org has dedicated an entire entry to controversial remarks he's made over the years.  For example, just last year he blamed the Haitians for making a deal with the Devil during their 1791 slave rebellion, resulting in various misfortunes, including the third-deadliest earthquake of all-time on January 12, 2010.

Robertson's remarks also made us recall a similiar incident in 2007 when Fox News host Bill O'Reilly, after having lunch at Sylvia's restaurant in Harlem, New York, expressed surprise that the predominantly African-American clientele acted friendly, polite, and did not use obscenities.

"There wasn't one person in Sylvia's who was screaming, 'M-Fer, I want more iced tea,'" O'Reilly said at the time.
