Emergency!

Updated

Last night we told you about the unfounded “emergency” session called by the House Rules Committee to end federal funding of NPR.

This morning before the vote, Rep. Weiner carried that same exasperated sentiment to the House floor.  With a poster of the Tappet Brothers, Click and Clack, from NPR’s show “Car Talk”, Anthony Weiner said:

“The American people are not concerned about the economy around the world. They’re staring at their radio station saying, get rid of Click And Clack. Finally my Republican friends are getting rid of them. Kudos to you.”

Watch:

After all that it still passed, 228 to 192, and the bill to strip federal funding from NPR is now headed to the Senate.
