Mitt Romney swept a trio of Republican primaries in Wisconsin, Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Mitt Romney swept a trio of Republican primaries in Wisconsin, Maryland and Washington, D.C. tonight as the general election matchup against President Obama is beginning to take shape.

Live at 11pET, Ed welcomes Howard Fineman, NBC News Political Analyst and Editorial Director of the Huffington Post Media Group, Karen Finney, msnbc Political Analyst and Former DNC Communications Director, and Eugene Robinson, msnbc Analyst and Associate Editor and Pulitzer Prize winning Columnist for the Washington Post.

Rick Santorum, the chief conservative rival to Romney, vows to press forward with his campaign, characterizing the primary as only having reached "halftime."  But can Romney be stopped?

From our earlier show, Steve Schmidt, msnbc Contributor and Republican Strategist, former Senior Advisor to Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign, and Richard Wolffe, msnbc Political Analyst, will weigh in on tonight's big election.

Then, President Obama lights up the Republican budget like a pinball machine, saying it's nothing more than thinly-veiled social Darwinism.  Tonight, Ed will break down the numbers with Ezra Klein, Washington Post Columnist and msnbc Policy Analyst.

An arrest is made in connection to the Wisconsin Planned Parenthood bombing.  Meanwhile, Mitt Romney unzips a new strategy to win female voters.   Terry O’Neill, President of The National Organization for Women, weighs in on that and the Republican war on women.

A pair of violent tornados slam through north Texas, and entire neighborhoods in Dallas-Fort Worth are destroyed.  Lt. Tim Jones, Public Information Officer for the Johnson County, Texas, Sheriff’s Office, will report from the ground.

And the Big Finish tonight, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has been absent from the campaign trail as the GOP candidates toured his state. John Nichols, Washington Correspondent of The Nation, explains why Walker might be the one avoiding them!
