‘Ed Show’ tonight: Tue., Jan. 17, 2012

“To say that this state is energized is really an understatement,” Ed told Chris Matthews tonight during a live report from Madison, Wisconsin, on Hardball.

Ed’s talking about, of course, the one million signatures that were delivered today demanding that Republican Governor Scott Walker face a recall election.  If only half of those signatures are verified, Walker will face a recall vote.

Tonight from Madison, Ed welcomes three members of the Wisconsin 14: Democratic state senators Fred RisserKathleen Vinehout and Chris Larsen.

Ed will then turn to John Nichols, Washington Correspondent of The Nation, to discuss why this is such a big deal for the country.

GOP presidential front-runner Mitt Romney still hasn’t released his tax returns, but now admits his tax rate is around 15 percent.  You probably pay a lot more, right.

But if that isn’t enough, Middle Class Mitt describes the $374K he made in speaking fees as “not very much.”  Democratic strategist Bob Shrum joins Ed to discuss how out of touch Mitt is with the middle class.

The White House pushes back after Newt Gingrich calls President Obama “the food stamp president.  Joy-Ann Reid, Managing Editor of TheGrio.com, msnbc Contributor, and Michael Eric Dyson, Professor of Sociology at Georgetown university and author (“Can You Hear Me Now?”), will weigh in.

Some good news for that school district in southeastern Pennsylvania Ed told us about last night where teachers are working for no pay.  But this controversy is far from over.

Elementary school teacher Sara Ferguson is back, along with George Walker, a Middle School Special Education Teacher in the Chester Upland School District.

And Rick Perry is back in Psycho Talk for the second consecutive day.  What did he say this time?

It’s going to be another packed @EdShow at 8pET on @msnbctv.
