'Ed Show' playbook: Friday, Apr. 20

George Zimmerman surprises everyone by taking the stand and apologizing to the family of Trayvon Martin.  But is he trying to taint a jury pool?  Ed will ask

George Zimmerman surprises everyone by taking the stand and apologizing to the family of Trayvon Martin.  But is he trying to taint a jury pool?  Ed will ask Martin family attorney Daryl Parks and criminal defense attorney Jayne Weintraub.

New polling shows President Obama is crushing Mitt Romney with almost every group except Ted Nugent’s head shaking crowd.  Jonathan Alter, msnbc Political Analyst and Bloomberg View Columnist, will handicap the race with 200 days to election day.

Another day, another gaffe for Romney: this time he lies about manufacturing job rates during a visit to the Buckeye State.  Mayor Chase Ritenauer (D-OH) will reveal the facts.

Catholic bishops are pushing back on the Republicans' "immoral" budget.  Michael Eric Dyson, Professor of Sociology at Georgetown University and author (Can You Hear Me Now?) will weigh in on the Romney-Ryan budget and the ongoing "war on the poor."

Also, Romney’s newest advisor frequently uses twitter to launch personal, sexist attacks against women.  You won't believe this one.

And in the Big Finish tonight, if you think Ted Nugent's crazy, wait until you hear what Michele Bachmann is saying about President Obama.  Dr. Caroline Heldman, Professor of Politics at Occidental University, will weigh in on the right-wing's Obama derangement syndrome.
