If you want to really impress your guests this weekend, Ed’s got a great recipe for Cherry Cola glazed ribs that everyone will love!
Recipe adapted from Bon Appetit.
7 lbs. spare ribs
48 oz. cherry cola
2 cups cherry preserves
2/3 cup Dijon mustard with horseradish
2 tbsp. malt vinegar
3 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. hot sauce
Wrap ribs loosely in foil and cook for 2 hours in the oven at 325 degrees. Remove from oven, cut into sections and drain fat. Rewrap foil over ribs to keep warm.
Simmer cherry cola on high heat and reduce to 1 1/2 cups. Add preserves, mustard, vinegar, soy sauce and hot sauce and stir to combine. Lower heat to medium and stir until sauce reduces to 2 1/2 cups.
Heat grill to 325 degrees. Add ribs to top rack and baste with cherry cola sauce. Cook with lid closed for several minutes. Turn and baste other side with sauce. Transfer ribs to lower rack of grill and baste. Continue turning and basting until all of the sauce is used.
