Would US strike make Assad look like a hero in the region?

As President Obama considers a “limited narrow” strike in Syria, some Middle East experts have voiced concern that military action could make the chaotic situation even worse. Fawaz Gerges, a Middle East professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science, told The Cycle Friday why he believes it’s possible that U.S. intervention could turn Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad from a villain into “a hero” in some eyes in the region.
