Life is still like a hurricane in Ducksberg!
On Wednesday, Disney announced that an all-new version of the beloved 80’s animated series, Ducktales, is returning to TV.
The series that will again follow tycoon Scrooge McDuck and his mischievous great nephews Huey, Duey and Louie along with Donald Duck will launch on DisneyXD channels around the world beginning in 2017.
“DuckTales’ has a special place in Disney’s TV animation history,” says Marc Buhaj, Senior Vice President, Programming and General Manager, Disney XD, said in a statement. ”It drew its inspiration from Disney Legend Carl Barks’ comic books and through its storytelling and artistic showmanship, set an enduring standard for animated entertainment that connects with both kids and adults.”
Other beloved characters slated to return to the 80’s favorite are Duckworth, Launchpad McQuack, Flintheart Glomgold, Mrs. Beakly, Webbigail Vanderquack, and Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys.
So get ready children of the 80’s for Disney to bring “that same energy and adventurous spirit to a new generation.”
