Violence in Middle East

This morning we all woke up to the news that Chris Stevens, the US Ambassador to Libya, along with three staff members, was killed in an attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya. Demonstrations also broke out in Egypt where protestors climbed the walls of the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and replaced the American flag with an Islamic banner.

The violence was sparked by an anti-Islam film called, Innocence of  Muslims, that ridiculed Muhammad. The film was produced by an Israeli filmmaker living in California and has been promoted by anti-Muslim, Egyptian Christian campaigners in the United States. With the help of more than 100 Jewish donors, this 2 hour movie cost $5 million to produce.

We will have full reaction to what is happening in Libya and Egypt along with coverage from the scene during our 3pm show.
