We are 14 days out until election day and both candidates are back on the trail today after last night’s presidential debate. President Obama is in the battleground states of Florida and Ohio while Governor Romney will be in battleground Nevada then Colorado trying to rev up supporters to cast their vote. The snap polls after last night’s debate are split. CNN snap poll is giving the President a slight advantage, saying the president won the debate by 48 percent to Romney’s 40 percent. While, CBS’s poll of uncommitted voters gave the president a lopsided win of 53 percent to 23 percent who say Romney won.

But if you dig further, that CNN poll shows Romney closing in on Obama on a key question: 63% believe President Obama can handle the job of Commander-in-Chief.  A close 60% say the same of Gov. Romney.

Washington Post columnist Matt Miller will be joining the Cyclists today to discuss his post-debate column where he questions Governor Romney’s “baffling” debate strategy.  Matt points out that for all the momentum Romney has shown in recent weeks, he needed to shake things up in order to win.  You can check out his full column here and be sure to tune in at 3 p.m. for the full conversation.
