A glitch in Facebook? No it can't be true!

Monday morning, Facebook users expressed their woes with the social media website through Twitter, some even calling it, "the worst Monday ever!".

Upon log-in early Monday morning many users were met with this message: "An error occurred. Please try again later." Those able to log on to the site found they were unable to post a status update or "like" a post. Instead, they received an error message which read, "Please try again later."

"Earlier this morning, while performing some network maintenance, we experienced an issue that prevented some users from posting to Facebook for a brief period of time," a Facebook representative said. "We resolved the issue quickly, and we are now back to 100%. We're sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused."

Facebook is now back up and running but it was not fixed fast enough to stop the global Twitter outrage using #Facebookdown.
