We are a few hours away from the official start of the Democratic National Convention but it looks as though the party has already started. Our own Steve Kornacki is live from Charlotte and we will have a full preview of what to expect from tonight’s speeches. Check out our full rundown of today’s show and let us know what you think.

  • Former DNC chairman Ed Rendell joins us live from Charlotte to discuss all that is leading up to tonight’s big event, First Lady Michelle Obama’s speech.
  • She’ll follow tonight’s keynote speaker San Antonio’s Mayor Julian Castro, the first Latino to ever fill that coveted spot.  We’re putting the Latino Vote question through the Spin Cycle. Tweet us what you think @thecyclemsnbc
  • With the economy still sluggish and the August jobs report due out Friday, will voters make the economy their top focus when walking into the election booths this November? Associate Politics Editor of Roll Call David Drucker joins the conversation in the guest spot to answer that question.
  • Our young gun is back. Matt Segal, Co-Founder of Our Time, is live from Charlotte talking about the youth vote.
