All along the gulf coast, residents from Florida to Texas are dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Isaac, which has now been downgraded to a tropical storm. From a dam being in danger of failing in Mississippi to the levees in Plaquemine, LA not performing, there is no place for the storm waters to go resulting in no end in sight for the flooding. According to a recent release from Gov. Jindal’s office about 1,500 people have been evacuated from Isaac stricken areas and another 1,500 are still waiting for a rescue.
With Isaac moving inland it should weeken to a tropical depression by later today but the aftermath of Isaac is one that the residents are going to have to deal with for weeks to come.
