This 6-year-old is commanding R-E-S-P-E-C-T!!

At her dance recital Saturday night, 6-year-old Johanna Colón performed an animated routine to Aretha Franklin song “Respect” that has taken the internet world by storm. Since mom Elissa M. Colón posted the video to her Facebook account on June 7, the sassy performance has racked up 26 million views and counting. "I posted it for family and friends because we're originally from New York, and I did not expect it to take off like this,'' Elissa told the Today.com. "We told Johanna about it, and she's excited, but she really doesn't totally understand. She was more excited that she had her last day of school and that she got ice cream for having a great report card."

While Johanna may have no idea who the Queen of Soul is she loves performing as she is able to steal the show with a solid mixture of sass and spunk. "She really didn't know who Aretha Franklin was, and when I told her about her and played it, she said, 'Ooh, she's got a lot of sass, mommy,''' Elissa said.

So be prepared for this 6-year-old to bring down the house with her sassy Aretha Franklin dance performance:
