Forget budget battles in Congress, composing Spotify playlists are way more fun!

Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., released a Spotify playlist over the weekend on her Facebook page called  "Seriously Good Mood." While her songs choices are a bit all over the map (a Frank Sinatra classic is followed up by Janelle Monáe), the playlist definitely earns this Missouri senator more "hip"points than Florida Sen. Marco Rubio's playlist .

According to McCaskill's spokesperson, she is trying to reach out to to her constituents and connect with them through the world of social media. While she is fairly active on twitter, this is her first Spotify playlist. The spokeswoman said in an email that the senator "loves Spotify, and decided she wanted to start sharing her playlists on a regular basis with folks and hearing from others on what she should be listening to.”

The big question is: Who can we expect to post the next Spotify playlist? Well, hopefully nothing from Sen. Rand Paul...we could probably do without a "Filibuster Mix," which would most likely just be a link straight to longplayer.org (The current longest piece of music being recorded. It has been recording for the last 11 years. And it is due to end in 2999.).

So sit back and enjoy Sen. McCaskill's playlist and be sure to let us know what you think.
