Not your average 'Popemobile' auctioned off for charity

Pope Francis plans to auction off his Harley-Davidson for Charity.
Harley-Davidson of Pope Francis to be auctioned
A handout picture provided by Osservatore Romano on Jan 13. 2014 shows Pope Francis (C) being presented with a Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide motorcycle in Vatican City, the Vatican, June 12, 2013.

A holy hog? It does exist!

From day one Pope Francis made it known he did not need a bullet proof "popemobile" as he enjoys interacting with the faithful -- but who knew he had a motorcycle?

Pope Francis was gifted with a 1,585cc Harley-Davidson Super Glide by the motorcycle manufacturer last June when Harley-Davidson celebrated its 110th anniversary.

And while it is unclear if Pope Francis ever took the Harley for a ride, it is equipped with a signature on the tank that reads "Francesco" making it all the more valuable. Bonhams Auction House estimates the holy motorcycle could garner between 12,000-15,000 Euros (or $16,000-$20,000) and all proceeds  will go toward the Catholic charity Caritas Roma's renovations of a hostel and soup kitchen in Rome.

The auction will take place at the Gran Palais in Paris on February 6th.
