As Michelle Obama walked into the Democratic National Convention last night she received a standing ovation and all you could see was a flood of "We Love Michelle" signs throughout the crowd. The First Lady was the grand finale speaker last night and it was clear by her welcome that America loves her. With a favorability rating at 66% she is only right behind Laura Bush in the first lady rankings.
As she called herself last night she is a mom first and a First Lady second, which is why Americans are able to relate to her. Her big task last night was to shed new light on President Obama and help boost his approval rating from 45%. Throughout her speech the twitter universe was quoting her speech and showing how she clearly hit it out of the park.
Today at 3pm we will be discussing the First Lady's speech and looking ahead to what is to come on day 2 of the Democratic National Convention.
