Keep your eyes on your Facebook newsfeed. On Wednesday Facebook introduced embeddable posts that will enable news organizations and blogs to include posts, photos, videos and status updates into stories.
In the same fashion as Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo and Tumblr you will have the option to "Embed post" which will produce a code you can copy and paste into any HTML file.
Fear not, anything not set to public will not be able for embed use. In an effort to open up more public commentary on topical issues featured on their site Facebook is also hoping their recently introduced changes (the addition of hashtags and embeds) will allow users and journalists to better track conversations. Additionally, these new additions create a better pool for their advertisers to reach people during live events (e.g. Presidential elections, the Super Bowl or the Oscars).
