Google does it again! If you haven’t seen it yet make your way over to the main Google Search page and you are in for a Sci-Fi treat. Today’s Google Doodle has gone out of this world in honor of the 66th anniversary of the Roswell incident with an interactive point-n-click adventure commemorating the controversial day when extraterrestrial life supposedly crash-landed on our planet.

Whether you believe what government officials reported as a crash of an experimental high-altitude surveillance balloon belonging to what was then a classified program named Project Mogul, or as alien conspirators suggest (cue the Men in Black theme song) an alien craft was found, its occupants were captured, and that the military engaged in a massive cover-up either way you will no doubt get a kick out of Google’s clever change up to their logo.

Since 2000, the Google team has created over a 1000 Doodles  to celebrate holidays, anniversaries, and the lives of famous artists, pioneers, and scientists. In just five days, July 14, marks the 13th anniversary of the first ever Google Doodle by then intern Dennis Hwang.

Now a team of doodlers and engineers collaborate to come up with new, innovative, fun graphics to grab the attention of web users. However, proposals can be submitted to proposals@google.com.
