Batkid: Behind the scenes

You may not see Miles Scott’s name on the Oscar nominations list, but the new movie about the Batkid is definitely a must-see.

We all remember Batkid’s heroic feats back in November when he took the city by storm, saving it from villains and certain danger – all while managing to fit in a burger for lunch. From The White House to the West Coast, social media erupted in support of The Batkid. On Wednesday, the Greater Bay Area Make-A-Wish Foundation released behind the scenes footage and interviews with the main characters, from Police Chief Greg Suhr to Miles and his parents.

“This was far  beyond anything we expected,” Miles’ father said of his son’s superhero day. The family has since set up a Batkid Fund, with 100% of proceeds to be distrubuted to the three organizations that helped the Scotts during Miles’ treatment.
