Roe v. Wade is under fire and the fight for women’s rights could be going all the way to the Supreme Court, after Alabama lawmakers voted for a bill that effectively bans abortion statewide, with no exceptions for rape or incest. Alabama Republicans say their ultimate goal is to overturn Roe v. Wade. President of NARAL Pro-Choice America, Ilyse Hogue, tells Ari Melber she and other women were seen as “hysterical for suggesting Roe was vulnerable during the Kavanaugh nomination” but Alabama’s Lieutenant Governor himself has admitted “they’re trying to criminalize abortion nationwide” because of Trump’s Supreme Court Justice picks.May 15, 2019
