Patrick Murphy attended the Truman National Security Project Conference in Washington D.C., which helps develop the next generation of leaders in national security policy. Gen. Stanley McChrystal gave a talk about the Franklin Project, which pushes for service to be voluntary but expected. Murphy was able to ask General McChrystal about “soft power."
