Tuesday’s Mini-Report

Updated

Today’s edition of quick hits:

* Syria’s assurances that its forces are complying with a cease-fire “have been condemned as a ‘blatant lie’ by France, as 32 people were reportedly killed even after guns were supposed to be silent.”

* Afghanistan: “In a further sign that the insurgents’ spring offensive is under way, suicide bombers struck in western and southern Afghanistan on Tuesday, killing 16 people, according to Afghan officials in Herat and Helmand, where the attacks took place.”

* Remember the Eurozone fears? They haven’t fully gone away.

* Remember George Zimmerman’s legal team? They have gone away.

* I continue to love the CFPB: “The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is looking to overhaul the mortgage servicing industry, arguing that the problem-plagued sector is unaccountable and opaque.”

* Several countries claim to have cut their carbon emissions. Most of them are fibbing.

* Limbaugh’s troubles continue: “ ‘The Rush Limbaugh Show’ is leaving the dominant conservative talk radio station in Philadelphia, one of the biggest radio markets in the country.”

* The Gates Foundation has reportedly withdrawn its support from the controversial American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), which has lost several sponsors in recent weeks.

* And finally, Hillary loves Texts From Hillary. The fact that she even put on the sunglasses is just endlessly cool.

Anything to add? Consider this an open thread.
