Tuesday's Mini-Report, 11.8.16

Today's edition of quick hits.
Today's edition of quick hits:* ISIS suspect: "French investigators have identified a Moroccan-Belgian jihadist based in Syria as a key plotter of attacks in Paris and Brussels, sources told AFP Tuesday, announcing a breakthrough in their multi-country probe."* Russia: "Vladimir Putin's government has denied allegations that Russia was involved in alleged attempt to kill Montenegro's pro-Western prime minister."* That an elected public official did this is ridiculous: "As voters across Georgia went to the polls, Jefferson Riley posted this on his personal Facebook page, which identifies him as the mayor of the Newton County city of Mansfield: 'Remember the voting days: Republicans vote on Tuesday, 11/8 and Democrats vote on Wednesday, 11/9.' He said it was a joke. Others thought it was out of line."* What a great story: "Women, men and children are bringing yellow roses, American flags and 'I Voted' stickers to Susan B. Anthony's grave site in Rochester on Election Day."* Orlando: "The city of Orlando, Florida, has announced plans to purchase the Pulse nightclub and eventually convert the site of the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history into a memorial."* This case apparently isn't over: "Former House Speaker Dennis Hastert has lost a bid to toss out a $1.8 breach-of-contract lawsuit filed by a man who claims the ex-speaker failed to turn over all the money he agreed to pay to compensate him for sexual abuse committed three decades ago."* And Trump's D.C. hotel appears to still have rooms available for inauguration week. That's generally not the case for the other hotels downtown. It's also probably not a coincidence.Anything to add? Consider this an open thread.
