Tuesday's campaign round-up

Today's installment of campaign-related news items from across the country.
Today's installment of campaign-related news items that won't necessarily generate a post of their own, but may be of interest to political observers:

* In Louisiana, former Gov. Edwin Edwards (D), no longer incarcerated, is running for Congress in the 6th district (thanks to my colleague Kent Jones for the tip).

* Sen. Lindsey Graham (R) is launching a new ad in support of his re-election bid, boasting about "asking the tough questions on Iran, Benghazi, and radical Islam."

* In Colorado's closely watched Senate race, PPP now shows Sen. Mark Udall (D) with a two-point lead over Rep. Cory Gardner (R), 42% to 40%.

* And speaking of close races, a University of North Florida poll shows former Gov. Charlie Crist (D) leading current Gov. Rick Scott (R), 34% to 33%. That suggests there are quite a few undecided voters.

* Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R) is poised to get yet another boost in Kentucky from outside allies, with something called the Kentucky Opportunity Coalition launching a $1.8 million ad campaign to tell voters what a great guy McConnell is.

* Today is primary day in Illinois, where the most competitive race is the Republican gubernatorial primary. Businessman Bruce Rauner appears to be the frontrunner.

* In Kansas, Gov. Sam Brownback (R) is generally considered the favorite to win a second term, but he's not taking any chances, launching an early statewide ad campaign this week.

* And to the relief of the DCCC, Rep. Collin Peterson (D-Minn.) announced yesterday that he's not retiring and will instead seek another term.
