Today's installment of campaign-related news items from across the country.
Today's installment of campaign-related news items from across the country.

* I'm not sure why, but the Rubio campaign yesterday canceled events scheduled for Lexington, Ky., and Baton Rogue, La. It's reportedly part of a plan to focus additional resources on Kansas.

* A new Magellan Strategies poll of Louisiana Democrats shows Hillary Clinton leading Bernie Sanders by a wide margin, 61% to 14%, ahead of Saturday's primary.

* On a relate note, New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu (D) recently endorsed Clinton, praising her record, and dismissing Sanders' platform as "tooth-fairy ideas."

* On Tuesday night, Donald Trump cruised to an easy victory in the Massachusetts Republican primary. On Wednesday, Massachusetts' Republican governor, Charlie Baker, announced he won't vote for Trump if he wins the GOP nomination.

* Hillary Clinton's campaign announced yesterday that it raised $30 million in February, which would sound awfully impressive were it not for the fact that Bernie Sanders raised more than $42 million last month.

* On a related note, Ted Cruz raised $12 million in February, which is quite good for a GOP candidate, and which represents his best month to date. (Note, Cruz has won more contests than Marco Rubio; Cruz has won more delegates than Rubio; and Cruz appears to have raised more money than Rubio. Remind me who the #2 candidate is in the Republican field?)

* President Obama made his first Senate primary endorsements of the 2016 cycle yesterday, announcing his support for Patrick Murphy in Florida and Ted Strickland in Ohio.

* And though the piece hasn't been independently confirmed, Reuters reports that the Koch brothers do not intend to help undermine the Trump campaign in advance of the Republican convention.
