Straight out of Indiana, Lunchpail Republicans

Time will tell whether this amounts to much, but a new Indiana political action committee called the Lunchpail Republicans is pledging to run against anti-union Republican incumbents. In the PAC’s opening announcement, chair David Fagan says:

“A Lunchpail Republican believes in the rights to speak freely and bear arms, supports labor and business, and insists that the government should not interfere with the day-to-day operations of private sector organizations. We should not have to choose between our party, our union, and our guns.”

The Lunchpail Republicans post what looks to be a letter (pdf) from candidate (and now governor) Mitch Daniels back in 2004 saying he agrees there’s no need for an anti-union Right to Work law in Indiana. After persuading Democrats to end their boycott, Indiana House Republicans are set to pass their Right to Work bill next week.
