The good news is that Social Security beneficiaries find out today that they’ll probably be getting a cost of living increase.  The bad news is it’s smaller than the average raise and they haven’t gotten one in 2 years
Low consumer confidence– blame it on the al-, al- al- al-, al al, alcoho-… no.  Blame it on home prices
In eastern Ohio drivers were told to stay in their cars and school was cancelled this morning due to an escaped pack of wild animals– “grizzly and black bears, wolves, and several species of large cats, including lions, tigers and cheetahs, among other creatures.” (Heidi Klum is involved but you have to click the link to find out how)
Ohio does not have a law regulating wild and exotic animal ownership.  It used to but Rep. Gov. John Kasich let it expire
Today is the 24th anniversary of Black Monday, a.k.a the stock market crash of 1987 (h/t Carl Quintanilla)
