Among the misconceptions I held prior to actually attending Comic Con in New York this past weekend was the idea that the people who dress up do so purely as a matter of self-expression. While that may be the case to some extent, what I didn't realize was the outright generosity of the people who dress up to make themselves available to literally everyone who asks for a photo.It's like if Disney World crowdsourced all of its Mickey Mouses.
